Slow down for Road Workers

Speeding drivers put road workers' lives at risk. It is dangerous to ignore road works speed limits and to drive inattentively through road works sites.

Two road workers have been killed in the past five years and since 2005, six have been injured on Tasmania’s roads.
Road workers are building better and safer roads for the benefit of all Tasmanians and visitors to the state. Drivers should protect road workers by slowing down, being patient and complying with all signs when travelling through work sites.
