About the campaign

Bike riders have are vulnerable to serious injury, or worse, because they don’t have the protection of drivers.

Bike riders have been killed and injured on Tasmanian roads. The road is a shared space and all road users should respect each other to ensure everyone’s safety. One of the best ways to help keep bike riders safe is to keep a safe distance, especially when overtaking. A metre should be maintained between an overtaking vehicle and a bike in speed zones up to and including 60km/h and 1.5 metres in speed zones above 60km/h.
