Don’t drive blind

Using your phone when driving is the same as driving with your eyes closed, Road Safety Advisory Council Chair Garry Bailey said today.

“Mobile phones are an essential part of our lives but should be no part of driving. Driving is a complex task that demands our full attention.

“Distraction – including mobile phone use while driving – is a contributing factor in almost one in five crashes in which someone is killed or seriously injured.
