Cyclists light up

Daylight saving ends on Sunday 2 April, so it is important for cyclists to ensure they are seen after dark by having a white light on the front of their bike and a red one on the back.

Cyclists are responsible for ensuring they are seen – especially at dusk and night – and motorists are responsible for sharing the road with cyclists and keeping an eye out for them.

Cyclists are  injured every year and the risk of injury is greater at night. One of the major causes of crashes involving cyclists is not being seen.
